The state of Louisiana has a lot of great National parks and swamps with long history. The State is well known for its exiting food in old Cajun and Creole style. The state is also known for the great college sport programs, especially football. Baton Rouge is the capital and New Orleans with its Mississippi River is the biggest city in the state. New Orleans has great history and a lot to offer, and is famous for the annual festival of Mardi Gras. NFL New Orleans Saints and NBA New Orleans Pelicans present the city in the National sport sections. The Metrodome in New Orleans are well known as the home of the Saints football, but also the "home" for many when the hurricane Kathrina destroyed the city in 2005. Lafayette and Avery Island south in the state are actually the home of the World famous Tabasco sauce.
